Awesome! I would very much want a pulp-y animated show like this. :D
TheDrifterWithin Featured By Owner Aug 19, 2013
I would have gladly have "Indiana Jones - The Animates Series" rather than that enourmous sh*t that was "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". And now that Disney owes LucasFilm... this may become possible.

This is fabulous! They should totally make Indiana Jones into an animated series. It's for sure it would be a lot better than most of the other cartoons out there now.

For so many years, I've been trying to establish a good comic-style for Indy, usually to end up with stuff that's way too realistic. But you, man, you created something so nice. It's spot on and perfect for a comic or an animated movie/series! As a very big fan of the Jones-movies I really hope this will eventually turn into so much more.

Oh, and if you're ever in need of an assistant or something, give me a call, will you? ;)

Real nice character designs, Patrick. Now, get in touch with both Steven Spielberg and George Lucas and show these character designs to them. I'm sure both can make a deal with Paramount Animation and CBS Television Studios for an animated series and bring you on board as character designer. The backgrounds look real good, too. Imagine an animated Indiana Jones series, produced by Lucasfilm Ltd., Amblin Entertainment, Paramount Animation and CBS Television Studios- I believe it can be done, especially with these character designs and backgrounds. Show these images of Indiana Jones to both Lucas and Spielberg, I'm sure both men will like it. From there on, they can show your character designs and backgrounds to the people at Paramount Animation- if Paramount likes it, they can confer with CBS, and if they give the green light, that'll put you to work. An animated Indiana Jones series will likely be picked up by Nickelodeon, who can run it on Saturday mornings. Of course, the animated TV show must be loyal and faithful to the movie trilogy with real archaeological and historic facts and the show's theme, as we all know, must be mainstream adventure, but with the violence toned down, namely less shootings, no blood and gore, and to make it watchable for all audiences, replace the Nazis with Neo-Renegades, but still keep it connected with the Indiana Jones movie trilogy. Patrick, you've got a real goldmine with these Indiana Jones character designs, now it's your turn to make it count by talking to both George Lucas and Steven Spielberg about getting some sort of deal done to put your designs to good use in an animated series. These designs can put you to work. Good luck to you, Patrick.

Hi there! I have a question...are these all done digitally? Or do you work from a sketch on paper?C:
PatrickSchoenmaker Featured By Owner Oct 19, 2012  Professional Filmographer
It depends, nowadays I draw digitally more and more, but some of the older Indy pieces were done on paper. This one was all photoshop and cintiq.
Statie Featured By Owner Oct 19, 2012  Hobbyist
Thanks! That is very cool.

ARTist05 Featured By Owner Aug 6, 2012  Hobbyist Traditional Artist
I so wish they had an animated show! This would be so awesome!!! If they were smart, they would totally do it. I mean, heck, they do it with Star Wars for The Clone Wars, why not do it with Indiana Jones?
Michael2407 Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2012
I'd like to see that, too. Let's also remember anything having to do with Star Wars, including Cartoon Network's Clone Wars series, is all George Lucas' property, but Indiana Jones, that's where both Lucas and Steven Spielberg come in.
NateJones Featured By Owner Aug 1, 2012  Hobbyist Photographer
Disney, Pixar and Lucasfilms need to get together and make some animated Indy movies using your character designs. Maybe get Brad Bird to direct them. Great job!
Michael2407 Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2012
It's likely going to be Lucasfilm Animation and Amblin Entertainment in cooperation with both Paramount Animation and CBS Studios that'll be responsible for an animated Indiana Jones series.
xAndyLG Featured By Owner Jun 16, 2012
your indy designs fit perfectly for an animated series, I wish I could see them on tv one day
Michael2407 Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2012
This can become a reality- all Patrick has to do is to show these designs to both George Lucas and Steven Spielberg and we'll see where it goes from there.
